Our Process

Diagnostic:

Before turning a single wrench, we use dealer-level diagnostic equipment (such as VCDS for VAG, or Ford IDS) to read fault codes, check live data, and pinpoint the exact cause of the failure.

Removal & Strip:

The gearbox is safely removed from the vehicle (unless utilising our trade drop-off service) and brought to our clean bench, where it is stripped down to its bare components.

Inspection:

We inspect every gear, bearing, synchro, and clutch pack. For automatics, we closely examine the mechatronic unit, valve body, and solenoids for wear, blockages, or electrical faults.

Rebuild:

We replace worn parts with OEM or uprated components, such as upgraded Timken bearings for M32 units or heavy-duty LUK clutch packs for VAG/Ford dual-clutch systems.

Calibration:

Mechanical repair is only half the job. For all DSG, Powershift, and modern automatics, we connect our diagnostic computers to your vehicle's Transmission Control Module (TCM) to perform a complete system relearn.

Testing:

Finally, the vehicle undergoes a rigorous road test. We monitor transmission temperatures, shift timing, and overall drivability in real-world conditions to ensure it performs flawlessly before handing you the keys.
